February 14, 2020Written by pseo2

Tazmin Forrest took home the Wunhym Junior Sportsperson of the year award on Wednesday evening. The archery prodigy went from strength to strength in 2019, landing herself a number of accomplishments which expanded the globe.

She added to her trophy cabinet by winning four gold medals at the Archery Australia (Open) National Championships, setting a new women’s championship distance record at 70 metres in the process. This was on top of a dominant performance at the National Youth Archery Championships, which saw her yield four gold medals and set three new national records.

Forrest also led Victoria to a number of first-place finishes in combined teams events, and competed in Spain at the Youth World Archery Championships.
